About the maker:
Michelle Diprose - Earthly Designs Tasmania "A Jewellery Artist and Horticulturalist. I live South of Hobart, within the beautiful D’Entrecasteaux Channel. My family and I reside on a small acreage property in an eco-friendly industrial-style home. My studio looks up to kunanyi/Mt Wellington. I am surrounded and inspired by nature, including local flora and fauna with an ever-flowing rivulet forging its way through a dolerite rocky escarpment. I commenced creating jewellery for local markets and several galleries around fifteen years ago. I have focused my attention on crafting sustainable products which are non-toxic and are lead and nickel free. I enjoy Silversmithing and working with re-purposed and recycled materials, bold gemstones and other raw materials especially Copper, Brass and Silver to create unique jewellery. Heat painting, hammering, texturing and the non-use of toxic coatings are part of my design. My creations are inspired from patterns and textures with metallic boldness to create works of Boho and Industrial style jewellery forms. Thank you & enjoy your individual self."
