The Dragon Tail plant is my personal favourite! I love its waxy dark green foliage that creeps and it’s super easy to care for. I have just got a small cutting to strike in a glass of water in just a few weeks. This plant is commonly called Dragon Tail. The Dragon Tail is an evergreen vine that can grow over 1mtr tall. The Dragon Tail can climb by means of aerial roots which adhere to surfaces. Young leaves are elliptical to arrow-shaped with mature leaves up to 30-50cm long are thick and leathery and are deeply incised along the margins and can resemble a Monstera leaf.
The Dragon Tail grows well in bright, indirect sunlight but will also tolerate low light conditions. Dragon Tails are drought tolerant and do not require a lot of water. Allow the top layer of soil to dry between watering’s. Because of its hardiness and low maintenance, this makes it a popular choice for beginner gardeners.

If you have heating units or air-conditioners, it is best to avoid placing plants underneath or next to them. This is because of the air blowing out from these units can be extremely hot or cold which can leave a healthy plant burnt, damaged and stressed. We recommend the Australian made Munash Organics soil food & foliage spray or The Plant Runner Plant Food or neem oil to keep you plants happy and healthy!
