Silver Satin Pothos likes bright, indirect light all year round. Harsh, direct sunlight will scorch the leaves, while too little light will cause the leaves to lose their variegation. Water your Pothos enough to keep the soil moist, but not wet or saturated. It's best to water when the top inch of the soil is dry.

If you're growing it in containers, an all-purpose, peaty potting mix that drains well is adequate for proper growth.

Handy Growing Tips:

LIGHT

Silver Satin Pothos likes bright, indirect light year round. Harsh, direct sunlight will scorch the leaves, while too little light will cause the leaves to lose their variegation

WATER

Water your Pothos enough to keep the soil moist, but not wet or saturated. It’s best to water when the top inch of the soil is dry. Don’t worry if you forget—it will occasionally tolerate a missed watering! Look out for yellow leaves, they are a symptom of too much water.

HUMIDITY

Your bathroom or kitchen would be a great choice for your Silver Satin Pothos because it does best in a slightly more humid environment. Brown leaf tips may indicate the air is too dry.

TEMPERATURE

Silver Satin Pothos prefer average to warm temperatures of 65-85 degrees. Do not expose it to temperatures below 65 degrees even for a short time because cold air will damage the foliage. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes

TOXICITY

Pothos are mildly toxic to pets and humans. It can cause a mild irritation to the mouth if chewed or swallowed and also a mild digestive reaction.

ADDITIONAL CARE

Trim out any dead, discolored, damaged, or diseased leaves and stems as they occur with clean, sharp scissors. Snip stems just above a leaf node; new growth will emerge from this cut and trimming close to the node will also prevent an ugly stub at the site. Use sharp pruning shears to avoid tearing the stems.

FOOD

Feed monthly in the spring through fall with a general-purpose indoor plant fertilizer.

If you have heating units or air-conditioners, it is best to avoid placing plants underneath or next to them. This is because of the air blowing out from these units can be extremely hot or cold which can leave a healthy plant burnt, damaged and stressed. We recommend the Australian made Munash Organics soil food & foliage spray or The Plant Runner Plant Food or neem oil to keep you plants happy and healthy!
