A hardy plant also know as ornamental ginger with tough variegated foliage. Produces hanging flowers in Spring. Great for pots plant.

Size: 140mm Established

Variegated shell ginger makes a striking addition to pots. Variegated shell ginger can be grown in large containers as a houseplant or patio plant (alone or in mixed containers) for a tropical effect. Grow variegated ginger outdoors in rich, moist soil with lots of organic matter in full sun to part shade.

Climate: Quite cold tolerant. Grows well in most parts of Australia.
Light conditions: Part shade / Shade
Growth habit: Clumping, weeping foliage
Growing conditions: Moist well drained soil, rich in organic matter
Flowers: Spring

If you have heating units or air-conditioners, it is best to avoid placing plants underneath or next to them. This is because of the air blowing out from these units can be extremely hot or cold which can leave a healthy plant burnt, damaged and stressed. We recommend the Australian made Munash Organics soil food & foliage spray or The Plant Runner Plant Food or neem oil to keep you plants happy and healthy!
