Who is Tasmanian Oak?
Eucalyptus Obliqua
Tasmanian Oak is a warm, dense and resilient hardwood timber. She is used for a wide range of applications & has an excellent premium finish. The eucalypt fibre possessed within Tasmanian Oak is sought after for reconstituted board and the production of high-quality paper. Tasmanian Oak is pale to light brown colour, with intermediate shades of cream to pink. Her growth rings are visible, but not prominent and gum veins are common.

Our Tasmanian Oak Vase is an elegant empress with a premium finish, designed to add pure beauty to your space! Made to house your small posies, picked flowers, foraged green foliage or perfect propagation vessels. She grows cuttings or water plants, she looks sweet on display and is a perfect keepsake gift. Loved by the green thumb and plant lovers alike, the knick knack collectors or those that just love Tassie specialty timbers like we do. Made from moderately coarse but even textured local Tasmanian Oak veneer and gift boxed for travel. Nothing quite says Tasmania like a beautiful local timber!
Large - 70mm x 200mm
The timber used to make these vases is processed at Britton Timbers in their own timber mill on the North-West Coast of Tasmania. The box is comprised of 30% recycled content along with 70% kraft board, manufactured by Opal Fibre Packaging in Northern Tasmania. The packaging concept and creative design is by our in-house SQ designer, with printing produced at Think Big Printing, Launceston and Laser services by Custom Cuts Tasmania, both locally owned businesses.
